Getting Started

Prerequisites Before you can use Sypher, you’ll need to create an account on DefenseStation. If you don’t have an account already, you can sign up here. Sending a Message Log in to your DefenseStation account. Click on the “Send” button in the left navigation pane. Click on “New”. Type your message in the message box. For example, “Hello, here’s the confidential information you requested.”

Send

Sypher is a secure and easy-to-use platform that enables you to send encrypted data, including text messages and files, to anyone by creating an encrypted link. You can then share the link with the receiver through any communication platform, such as email, messenger apps, chat servers, and social media. To ensure maximum security, Sypher provides a variety of options that allow you to set the access date range and the number of clicks allowed on the link.

Request

If you want to request data from others securely, you can use the “Request” feature provided by Sypher. This feature allows you to send a request to others asking them to share data with you. The sender is not required to have an account on DefenseStation. Follow the steps below to request data: Enter Passphrase: When you click on the “Request” button, you will be prompted to enter a passphrase.

Dropzone

Dropzone is a feature in Sypher that enables users to create a secure location where people can submit their sensitive data to the user with ease. Dropzone is particularly useful when the user needs to collect sensitive information from different sources. Instead of requesting the data from different people separately, they can share the Dropzone link with all parties to upload the requested data in a single location. Creating a Dropzone in Sypher is simple, just follow the below steps:

Templates

Sypher provides users with the ability to create templates for the Request and Dropzone features. With templates, you can easily reuse the same fields or files for multiple requests or dropzones, saving you time and effort. To create a template, follow the steps below: Click on “New” under “Templates” in the left navigation pane. Provide a name and a description for your template. Add the fields or files that you want to include in your template by clicking on the “Add Field”

Pricing

To use Sypher, there are no upfront charges. You pay per use. Depending on the size of data being shared, you will be charged monthly. To track your monthly usage, go to Dashboard. Dropzone

Dropzone is a feature in Sypher that enables users to create a secure location where people can submit their sensitive data to the user with ease. Dropzone is particularly useful when the user needs to collect sensitive information from different sources. Instead of requesting the data from different people separately, they can share the Dropzone link with all parties to upload the requested data in a single location.

Creating a Dropzone in Sypher is simple, just follow the below steps:

  1. Login to your DefenseStation account on Sypher.
  2. Click on the “Dropzone” button in the left-hand navigation pane.
  3. Select the “New” button.
  4. Enter the Dropzone name.
  5. Add fields to be filled by users, such as name, email, phone number, etc. You can also add files to be uploaded by the users.

You can also select multifile option, if you want to provide flexibility to users to upload multiple files.

  1. Set advanced settings such as download permissions, allowed devices, login requirements, etc.
  2. Once you are done setting up the Dropzone, click on the “Create” button to generate the Dropzone link.

Users who are granted access to the Dropzone can upload their files by clicking on the provided link. Users will be required to fill in the requested fields and upload files to complete the process.

History

In Sypher, the history feature allows users to view the activity of their Dropzone. Users can check who has accessed the Dropzone, what was uploaded, and when. You can access the history by clicking on the “History” option in the left-hand navigation pane.

Under Action, if yu click on view, you can see the list of responses, and also you can update the settings for the dropzone.

Responses

Furthermore, users can check the responses submitted by people who have accessed the Dropzone by clicking on the “Responses” tab. In this section, users can view and download the files uploaded by users along with their responses. The responses section also provides information on the date and time of the response.
